No, the Wall-Axe patented design (when using the included spaces properly) will keep a safe distance between 1-2 inches suspended away from your wall. Even jumbo acoustic bodies!

Q: HOW MUCH SPACE WILL A WALL-AXE GUITAR HANGER TAKE UP ON MY WALL?
With all 3 guitar hangers being used, approximately 4ft. width & 6ft. in height. It helps to hold your guitars up on your wall beforehand to gauge the height placement for your new Wall-Axe to ensure your guitars are comfortable to reach.
